I make pieces that recreate a hypnotic encounter with color. If the way we see color is to a certain extent an individual experience, a breathtaking play of color in the landscape could be singular, and wholly our own.    In this series I experiment with using intense colors that harmonize in a believable way.    I use  darkroom photography, collage, drawing , and now computers to further distance myself from local colors.   When I use multiple step processes more choices have to be made about what I like and are my own inventions.   The pieces are coated in epoxy resin to express the dream-like and solitary(encapsulated) experience of seeing.
